Neoclassical Cabinet, Probably Berlin, Early 19th Century

About the Item

Two-door cabinet with smooth front with panels veneered in mahogany. The smooth plinth rests on low square feet. The temple-like pediment with smooth tympanum field is visually set off with a carved and vine decorated frieze and framed by a kymathion. Perfectly executed mutuli as a recourse to Greek temples give the cabinet an exceptional character.
