Pair 19th C Bow Glass Sided Display Cabinets from an Upscale Boston Fashion Shop

About the Item

A pair of incredible bow glass sided show cases from one of the exclusive ladies fashion shops in the Newbury Street area of Boston,Ma. These spectacularly designed glass show cases date from the late 19th C. and are handsomely wood trimmed with glass tops to allow for the natural light to shine through, two sliding clear glass doors on each of their back sides, with left and right top to bottom curved glass sides and top to bottom opposing flat glass sides.The charm of these cabinets is because of the flat sides these cabinets can be used alone or flush against each other to give the appearance of one continuous curved sided show case.. Each cabinet has four levels of glass shelving / two pieces of glass per shelf which are supported by adjustable iron brackets. The bottom glass shelf also allows for display space beneath for items on the parquetry base. In addition both cabinets have been electrified with contemporary lighting. These remarkable cabinets are in very good condition and very handsome. They have been in the same ownership for nearly 50 years and would be the perfect display cabinets for stores as well as home collections.
