Wimbledon-Furniture We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely pair of very rare late 19th century circa 1880 Chinese Chinoiserie marriage cabinets This pair is very special and extremely desirable, they would look lovely sitting either side of a fire place They are very naively made, the paint work and or papering was all done by hand, as was the carving of the wood, simple in style and form but very traditional and useful Each cabinet has the original brass hinges and main body lock, sadly one of the long pins is missing but you can pick up spares on ebay. The cabinets have two drawers and a hidden base storage for blankets and so on The finish is distressed as you would expect base on the age, there’s chips a cracks in the papering and paint work pretty much everywhere, pieces like this need some distressing, it proves there original well used I have included around 80 pictures so you can see the ware and patina for yourself, structurally both cabinets are perfect apart from the base boards which are cracked split and have pieces of wood missing, this is the piece of wood under the floral display that’s at the bottom front, difficult to see but I thought it best to mention Dimensions Height:- 182.5cm Width:- 121cm Depth:- 53.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask Any questions please feel free to ask before you bid This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses SW19-3BE, we can have it delivered nationwide to include Scotland Wales and Ireland.
