Pair of Custom Antique Continental Mahogany Side Cabinets
About the Item
A pair of European mahogany secretary cabinets, fashioned from a double pedestal desk, born in Continental Europe in the early 20th century, each antique office cabinet having a rectangular top with inset felt surface, over solid wood chest of drawers, one fitted with four drawers, the other fitted with three drawers, dovetail joinery, patinated gilt brass hardware, the case having paneled sides and back, rising on bun feet. circa 1920

These one-of-a-kind cabinets are as warm and handsome as they are functional and flexible, with elegantly aged patina, rich antique mahogany coloring and tones, hues of warmth and superb grain detail. They are very solid, sturdy, stable and structurally sound. Excellent quality and craftsmanship.
The rare, one-off pair can be used a variety of ways, in addition to the office, library or study, they would make wonderful end tables, chair-side tables, lamp stands, occasional tables, palatial bedside nightstands or matched accent pieces.
Delivered cleaned, hand waxed, polished and ready for many years of use.
