A Portuguese Colonial Refectory Cabinet with Wonderful Storage, Early 20th C.

About the Item

A Portuguese colonial refectory cabinet with plentiful storage from the early 20th century. This antique paneled and painted wood cabinet from Portugal features a large-sized case which houses nine dove-tailed drawers (three rows of a larger drawer franked within a pair of smaller drawers), a large work-top space with back-set cabinetry consisting of an open cubie at center between a pair of doors with cubies inside, and topped with a shelf (perfect for displaying goods or art). The body, door and drawer fronts are all carved with raised panels. This piece is primarily grey with a highlighted trim, all having green undertones. This antique Portuguese refectory cabinet is nicely-sized at approximately 6.75 feet in length, and would offer abundant storage, work, and display options, which we could see working quite well in a kitchen, study, or crafting room. The main tabletop/work space is 33.75 inches high.
