Very rare drinks cabinet with hand-painted & glazed porcelain tiles. This very good condition and all-original antique cabinet is the only one of its kind that we have ever seen and it could very well be a one of a kind. What makes this work-of-art cabinet stand out from anything you have ever seen are the many stunning and all handcrafted tiles with colorful floral paintings. We are certain that we have sold one or two antique serving trays with inlaid tiles of the same maker, but we have never seen these tiles in a cabinet and the combination of the darkish wood and the clear white tiles with the colorful flowers truly is a joy to look at. Apart from two hairlines in the tile in the left drawer, all nine (!) porcelain tiles are in superb condition with absolutely no cracks or chips. This unique antique also comes with the original lock plates and a perfect working brass lock in the right door (with the original key). Because of its relatively small and practical size this cabinet can be used for all kinds of purposes and used in all kinds of living spaces. Because of a minor imbalance it is advised to place this cabinet against a wall and it will then stand as strong and stable as the day it was handcrafted (well over 100 years ago). The unique design and the combination of materials are a true joy to look at and with doors that open and shut perfectly and a mint interior, this cabinet will never fail to impress. It also has the perfect height for serving a cup of tea (or otherwise) on the stunning tile top.
