"Record" cabinet by Axel Einar Hjorth. ca. 1932 Flamed birch, Macassar border. Nickel feet. Marked with metal tag “NK R 36914 C 22 11 35”. Designed by Axel Einar Hjorth in 1932. Produced by NK Nordiska Kompaniet. Three adjustable shelfs. Axel Einar Hjorth (1888-1959) was a Swedish designer. He was during the years 1927-1938 head of design at Nordiska Kompaniet, which was a the time, one of the most important positions for a furniture designer in Sweden.
