About the Item

We are offering for sale a rare example of the iconic "Viva il Toro" (W il Toro) storage unit, designed by Paolo Pallucco & Mireille Rivier for Pallucco. More than a piece of furniture, this is a functional sculpture, a bold and radical statement from the Italian design movement of the 1980s. Viva il Toro reinterprets the symbolic figure of the bull-an archetype of strength and myth-as a provocative and iconic furnishing object. The unit is made of black-painted oak veneer and is mounted on castors for mobility. One side features a door opening to interior shelving, while the other side includes drawers, combining sculptural presence with practical storage functionality. There are no visible brand markings, in line with the designers' minimalist and conceptual philosophy. Specifications: Designers: Paolo Pallucco & Mireille Rivier Manufacturer: Pallucco Type: Storage unit / Sculptural furniture Material: Black-painted oak veneer Features: Door with interior shelves on one side, drawers on the other, mounted on castors Dimensions: W 49 x D 116 x H 89 cm Condition: Excellent - no brand markings Availability: Single piece
