A very charming and highly collectable piece, I have never in all my working career seen another of this type, it is made out of Fruitwood and oak, the main body is recessed for rifles and the drawers are super strong and on steel rollers, these are ammunition drawers hence the industrial strength stability
The piece has been fully restored by traditionally trained French polisher that has been in the field for over 30 years, his work is sublime. The cabinet has a wonderful glow and patina to it, there will naturally be age and use related marks but nothing you would expect from a Victorian example
