Swedish Pine Dalarna Cabinet Cupboard, circa 1800-20
About the Item
A wonderful example of Swedish country craftsmanship from the Dalarna region.
This cupboard has a soft, warm aged patina due to the original painted being rubbed/scraped down to the natural pine below. Look closely and you will see the faint remains of original painted flourishes.
Interior is paint and has traditional spoon rack on top.
Old locks still function. Two keys included.
This highly original Swedish cupboard has been restored so it is strong, stable and ready for use.
All knicks, scratches, age-related separation of wood are a reflection of generations of use and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this lovely Dalarna cupboard.
