Two Anglo-Indian British Colonial Style Painted Hardwood Bedside Cabinets, 1950s
About the Item
This almost pair of Anglo-Indian bedside cabinets or nightstands are made of solid hardwood which has later been painted in a 'officer's grey' color and wax buffed creating a subtle aged and layered look. One of the cabinets has had glass panels installed in the door instead of solid wood panel as the other. which is half an inch lower. The doors under the drawers open to a nice one shelf interiors. The old brass hardware appears to be at least partly original. The harmonious dimensions and the rustic feel adds a colonial flavor to an interior.
