Very Rare Hand Carved Walnut Victorian Cabinet with Drawers Cupboards

We are delighted to offer for sale this stunning early Victorian solid Walnut hand carved side cabinet cupboard with drawers A very grand little cabinet, I say little, it is 188cm tall but some of these pieces in the Victoria era were monstrously huge, 300cm tall and more, this is a much more manageable 6’1 tall piece It has an arrangement of drawers and shelves for storage and display, the sides would have housed lovely vases possibly with flowers in, the rest of the cabinet I believe is designed to house a fine dinner service, it has larger than usual depth and a lot of drawers to keep the small pieces all safe and sound For today's use it is simply a gorgeous display cabinet, this piece commands attention from anywhere in the home, it is showstopping beautiful We have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be normal patina marks from honest age and fair use, the internals have been felt lined, one small piece of the felt is missing at the back of one of the little cupboards Dimensions: Height 188cm Width 134cm Depth 45.5cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses. Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
