You are viewing a gorgeous antique English library bookcase in eye catching red lacquer
Such a great look to this important piece which we date to 1880
The cabinet features intricate Chinoiserie on all surfaces but it's particularly eye catching against the black panels on the door
Intricate scenes include Chinese landscapes with pagodas, Chinese figures, ox and foliage
There are further Chinoiserie designs on other surfaces as wells hand painted gilt motif decoration
The whole cabinet finished in a rich red with inset laquer designs and terminates on oggee feet
We purchased this from a private residence in London's Bloomsbury
