18th Century English Campaign Secretaire

About the Item

A rare two-part George III brass bound and brass inlaid mahogany and elm secretaire campaign chest. The top section with fold-out writing slope, enclosing a leather writing surface and fitted interior above two short and two long drawers. The exceptionally fine quality and finish of this piece indicate that it once belonged to an officer of high rank.
