These elegant pieces has beautiful, highly figured cherry veneer with gorgeous light deep amber color and over 200 hundred years old patina. The term Neoclassicism covers the entire period from 1760-1835, as well as the Louis Seize, Empire, Biedermeier and Regency eras. The stylistic era of classicism introduced by Louis Seize was oriented to the formal world of classical ancient architecture of Greece, Italy and Egypt. The style became established throughout Europe. Typical stylistic features of this period are characterized by strict, clear forms, simple proportions and clearly arranged structures. Furniture became simpler and more functional, adapted to the requirements of the normal bourgeoisie. Each brass hardware on the pieces depicts a different scene referring to ancient art.
