18th Century French Country Commode

About the Item

Hand-crafted in the 18th Century, this French country commode consists of a well-aged walnut with a warm red-brown tone. There are two drawers that offer ample storage space. They retain some of the gilt ornamentation on the facade. Other noteworthy woodwork features include the elegant cabriole legs, curved skirt details on the front and sides, and fluted corners. Dimensions: 24.5 in. width 16 in. depth 27 in. height Condition notes: In good condition. Surface wear including nicks and scratches that are consistent with the commode's age and use, and contribute to its character and value.
