18th Century French Louis XV Walnut Inlay Bombe Chest of Drawers with Marble Top

About the Item

Crafted in Burgundy France circa 1750, the antique fruitwood commode stands on curved feet ending with bronze mounts over a he scalloped apron decorated with a bronze shell and leaf motif mount. The chest features three rows across with four bombe drawers embellished with inlay geometric decor, and dressed with the original bronze handles and escutcheons. Both bombe sides also with marquetry motifs, are decorated with ormolu caryatid mounts at the shoulder. The top is dressed with the original red marble "Breche de Bourgogne". The elegant Louis XV cabinet is in excellent condition with a rich walnut patina. For extra surface space in a living room or dining room, try this elegant bombe chest of drawers.
