19th C. Am. Empire Mahogany & Birdseye Maple Chest Of Drawers (For Restoration)

About the Item

A 19th century American Empire style chest of drawers with a warm medium brown mahogany frame sporting a rectangular top over stately turned and spiraled posts flanking four graduating dovetail drawers veneered in honeyed birdseye maple. Each drawer is adorned with circular brass knobs, and the uppermost drawer is stepped forward for a touch of visual interest. Raised on four bun feet. Dimensions: 42” wide by 23.25” deep by 47.25” high. Condition: The top has been repaired leaving a separation line at the join. Scattered scuffs, surface scratches, and finish wear to the top. Otherwise sturdy and nicely built, and would be very handsome after restoring the top surface. Does not include any keys. Please review the pictures as they are a part of the condition report.
