19th C. French Empire Style Ormolu Mounted Semainier Tall Chest

About the Item

A classic French Empire style Semainier Tall Chest in mahogany and bronze ormolu with seven drawers framed with fluted columns and fine gilded escutcheon. The front face of each drawer is also surrounded by an ormolu frame. Chest shows wear from daily use. Age related cracks that have been filled. The key shown is only for decorative purposes to open drawers, does not operate lock.
