19th C. Regency Mahogany Chiffonier Tall Chest of Drawers Filing Cabinet Antique . A tall and Elegant 19th Century Regency chest of drawers Mahogany Chiffonier also chiffonnier. Its name comes directly from a French piece of furniture. In British usage a chiffonier is similar to a sideboard , but differentiated by its smaller size . Beautiful Knobs , handles, and escutcheons brass . An exquisite Early 19th century Semainier cabinet with Eight drawers PLUS Two Pullout Encastré Drawers one at the bottom and one at the top , ormolu pulls keyhole with Lock and Key to lock and secure all Eight Drawers for privacy and private items , yet with the liberty to open the top drawer and the bottom drawer. The balance of lines has been finessed to perfection . In a living room with a bibelot or vase on top , in a library to organize files and lock it for privacy . In a bedroom as a chest of drawers .
