19th Century burr walnut tall chest of drawers

About the Item

19th century burr walnut tall chest of drawers circa 1880. Great quality tall chest of drawers often known as a seminere chest as it has 7 drawers. Shaped walnut top surface with matching coloured sides which provide a delightful contrast to the lighter burr drawers. 7 drawers each graduating in size to the bottom. Drawer fronts with burr, ebonised border and cross banded, each fitted with an ornate escutheon which opens on the key. Further ebonised work to the canted corners. Original locks and working key. Standing on turned front legs with block feet to the rear. Expected surface marks and very minor losses to woodwork, in line with age and use. Minor veneer wear to centre of top surface. Great colour and patina, ready for everyday use in the home.
