19th Century Cherry Queen Anne Style Flat Top Highboy
About the Item
19th century Queen Anne style highboy in two parts with 5 graduated upper drawers having dovetail joinery. The lower with pegged construction, one long shallow drawer above three deep drawers, the center with shell carving and the frieze with two finals. The highboy with brass batwing hardware and false escutcheons. The whole having a planked back and resting upon cabriole legs and pad feet. Lacking a key.
Dimensions: 27 1/4" D, 41" W (across the knees), 75 5/8" H
Condition: Please see detail photos. Refinished at an earlier time in a medium mahogany stain with replaced brass batwing hardware. Various stable age cracks (Crack on side shown in photos) , tiny chip above the left final and an old chip to corner of 4th drawer.
