19th Century Dutch Oak Chest of Drawers

About the Item

Chest of drawers handmade in the Netherlands in the early 1800s using oak and peg construction. The commode features three inset drawers all with serpentine fronts. The top features rounded edges and follows the same serpentine pattern on the front, and continues it on the sides. he side of the chest of drawers handmade show chamfered panels framed by flat molding. The base is decorated with flat molding around the front and sides. The commode stil sits on its original bun fee. This is a beautiful, small commode with great color, patina and proportions. Its small size make it perfect form many spots, so whether one is looking for a piece to just fill that one empty corner, or an actual functional piece of furniture for a bedroom, this piece will be a fantastic and unique addition to a home
