About the Item
We would like to offer you this truly exquisite, early Biedermeier walnut chest of three drawers. The piece was made in Vienna circa 1825.
Viennese Biedermeier is distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design and excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design.
Biedermeier chests of drawers with such an exquisite shape and such a beautifully selected maple veneer are very rare.
The commode have beautiful highly figured maple veneer with lovely light deep amber color and 200 years old patina.
The brass hardware and locks are original.
The chest is set on graceful, elegantly shaped legs that give it an elegant lightness.
Lovely highly figured book matched maple veneer is just gorgeous.
This commode is an absolutely museum quality piece of furniture from early Viennese Biedermeier period.
The piece will be a great complement to any elegant interior. It does not matter whether it is a classic or modern interior because Biedermeier is simply timeless.
