Hello, This truly exquisite, early Biedermeier semainier seven drawer chest was made in Vienna circa 1825. Viennese Biedermeier is distinguished by their sophisticated proportions, rare and refined design and excellent craftsmanship and continue to have a great influence on modern design. The piece have beautiful highly figured walnut veneer with lovely light deep amber color and 200 years old patina. The brass hardware and locks are original. Pieces of such quality as this tall, exceptional Viennese Biedermeier semainier seven drawer chest are very rare and hard to find. The piece is set on high block legs with ebonized feet that give it an elegant lightness. Lovely highly figured book matched walnut veneer is just gorgeous. This commode is an absolutely museum quality piece of furniture from early Viennese Biedermeier period. This piece will be a great complement to any elegant interior.
