19th Century Painted Louis Philippe Style Commode

About the Item

A period Italian commode in the Louis Philippe manner, from about 1830, with its original marble top. The custom painted finish, with its scumbled Swedishy effect, makes for a nice change - it lightens the look. The wonderfully detailed gilded bronze brasses with swan motifs are early 20th century.
