19th century Swedish burr birch chest of drawers
About the Item
19th century swedish birch root chest of drawers circa 1880.
4 equal proportioned drawers, each veneered in birch root. Typical with scandinavian furniture of this period in that the drawers open on the key and have no handles. Handles could be fitted with customer input.
Carved detail below the top surface on front corners. Standing on block feet.
Old veneer restoration to side, minor woodwork losses to feet.
Good rich birch colour.
