Mid 19th century Swedish birch chest of drawers
About the Item
Mid 19th century Swedish birch chest of drawers circa 1850.
Good quality Swedish empire commode made in birch and pine,
Rectangular top with rounded corners and moulded edge. Below which are 3 drawers of equal proportions, fitted with ring handles and hand made metal key plates. Drawer fronts presented in a matched veneered and shows the grain of timber superbly. Working locks and key.
Standing on a front turned leg and block to the rear.
Recently re-finished in our workshop, rich golden colour.
Minor surface marks and restorations to veneer. Ready for everyday use.
