19th Century walnut & marquetry Wellington chest
About the Item
A fabulous quality 19th walnut and marquetry Wellington chest, the shaped and moulded cornice decorated with floral marquetry inlay above a combination of six graduated mahogany lined drawers with the original turned wooden knob handles, the drawers fronts having floral marquetry which is of exceptional quality, the columns either side having bold ormolu figure mounts, supported on a plinth base with further marquetry inlay. Lovely warm walnut colour and in excellent condition. Circa 1860.
