American Empire Marble Top Chest

About the Item

American Empire marble top chest, with beautiful figured marble, the two over three graduated drawers with ornate brass pulls and escutcheons are veneered with bird's eye maple, the rest of the chest is mahogany. The stiles feature applied pilaster with rope carving , tapered feet in front and turned back feet. Small secret drop in slot in the wood top for hiding valuables ( underneath the marble-see photo).
