Antique Austrian Art Nouveau Walnut and Black Marble Top Nightstands - a Pair
About the Item
A gorgeous pair of high-end, antique Austrian art nouveau walnut nightstands / pot cupboards with original black marble tops. Note the stunning curvilinear accents on the feet, door panel, top supports, and even the drawer pulls. Brass drawer pulls and door knobs are original. Doors close with original brass latches. Likely from the 1910s or 1920s but in very good condition. The only real sign of age are the stable splits that have been filled in one wood secondary shelf, see last photo. Marble is not attached to the tops for ease of movement.
Condition commensurate with age and use. Strong and stable wood and no chips or cracks in the original marble. Note the filled, stable splits in one wood secondary shelf, see last photo.
