Antique Biedermeier Figured Wood Chest Of Drawers For Restoration

About the Item

A classic Biedermeier commode with three long drawers in wonderful figured wood, probably walnut. A dark top molding runs around the chest below the top drawer and with a matching one around the base. With traditional ebonized recessed supports on the front. The drawers with shaped and chased rosette decorated metal bales. Raised on bun and peg front legs and square back legs. Lacking a key. For Restoration. Dimensions: 49" wide x 24 1/4" deep x 31 1/2" high Condition: Restoration recommended. Please review the detail photos. Various signs of age include the top is worn with scratches and gouges and cracked top edge. The top dark molding has losses. There are scrapes to the middle drawer and a crack on the lower drawer. The top drawer is missing the pull on the left bale. There are scrapes to the legs and various veneer and finish losses.
