Antique Dutch Baroque Mahogany Burled Walnut Bombe Chest Of Drawers
About the Item
A stunning antique Dutch mahogany and burled walnut bombe chest of drawers petite commode low boy from the early 20th century.
Hand-crafted fine quality craftsmanship, detailing, and solid wood construction, having a beautiful book-matched burlwood serpentine shaped top with mahogany cross-banding and molded edge, over curvacious shaped case front, fitted with three dovetailed locking drawers, each curved drawer front with finely sculpted bronze handles flanking patinated bronze escutcheon, that opens thanks to the original key included; above a gracefully shaped scalloped apron, rising on substantial sized hand carved claw and ball front feet.
Dark rich coloring, luxurious presence, lots character and curves, with elegantly aged patina over the whole. Truly a superb example.
