Antique French Louis XVI Mahogany Buffet ~ Commode with Carrara Marble combines the size and proportions of a chest of drawers with the functionality of a buffet, and does it with incredible flair and style! The sheer natural beauty of the exotic imported mahogany exudes a naturalistic warmth, accentuated by the brass embellishments that include quarter round trim outlining all the panels on the sides and fronts, as well as ring pulls with guards, key guards, rosettes on each corner and tips on the feet. The full width drawer at top is quite useful, and follows a subtle bowed form of the casework that translates all the way through the design including the luxurious beveled Carrara marble top that provides carefree elegance. What at first glance appears to be two lower drawers are in fact a pair of cabinet doors that open to reveal cavernous storage with a shelf! An ideal height for a credenza, behind a sofa, or anywhere one would place a commode, it's an amazingly versatile piece of luxury!
