About the Item

Art Deco dessert commode low sideboard designed by Jean Pascaud, France, 1930s. Spectacular serving commode, in very well cared condition, made of black lacquered wood, lemon tree veneer inside. Body curved to the front, overflowing rectangular base. Each side is decorated with three brass blades. Opening with a brass ring. Top covered with black glass. Wide lower shelf, with mirror on the backside, France, circa 1933. In good original overall condition, this item shows signs of age and wear, it can be refurbished on request. A dining set comprising a table with six chairs available in our auction section right now. Dimensions: Width 143.5cm (56.5 in), height 80cm (31.5 in), depth 48cm (18.9 in) Literature: "Mobilier et Decoration", May 1933, page 171. Same model sideboard. Similar item sold at Tajan in 2009.
