Mobilier et décoration, April 1936. The variant appearing in the décor of Sacha Guitry’s film Le Nouveau Testament is shown on page 124.
Maurice Dufrène collaborated with the renowned French actor, playwright, and director Sacha Guitry (1885-1957), designing the interiors of his personal apartment as well as the stage set for the 1934 play Le Nouveau Testament at the Théâtre de la Madeleine, and subsequently the decor for its 1936 film adaptation.
