About the Item
Remarkable Baroque revival commode or Trumeau with fantastic nut wood carvings out of Vienna/ Austria from the end of the 19th century. After an elaborate restoration process it now shows its full beauty again. Made circa 1880, the so-called "Pfeiferl Baroque" period, this artfully worked dresser impresses with two lovely "pretzel" doors as well as two drawers adorned by outstanding designed carvings. Nice brass fittings and a hand polished shellac finish finalize the matchless look. A truly decorative late 19th century Trumeau commode that will catch every viewers eye.
