This exquisite French commode, dating from the Napoleon III period in the 19th century, is a remarkable example of the opulent craftsmanship and artistic sophistication characteristic of the Second Empire. The commode is crafted with a striking black lacquered finish, providing a dramatic backdrop for its lavish gilt-bronze embellishments.
