Danish Mid-Century Modern Chest on Chest by Sven Ellekaer

About the Item

Interesting two-part chest on chest, designed by Sven Ellekaer. The chest features two separate cabinets, including the top piece ( 37.5 W x 17.5 H x 16.5 H in. ) which has a tambour roll front that opens to selves and interior drawers, over a four drawer lower cabinet ( 37.5 W x 34 H x 19.5 D in. ). The dresser in is good, original estate condition, the finish shows some cosmetic wear to the finish, one drawer shows a repair to the drawer joinery. Hard to find piece from Ellekaer, chic architectural design from the Golden age of Danish modern furniture production.
