About the Item

Early 18th century English oak small chest of drawers. The top has a wonderfully double molded edge and follows down to raised paneled sides and three single drawers in the front. The drawer fronts are all cushion raised paneled and have burl walnut panels surrounded by glorious moldings. The drawer fronts have wonderfully hand cast brass oval knobs of the finest weight and quality. The case has a molded edge along the bottom and the case is raised upon the most wonderfully detailed scalloped bracket feet we have ever seen. This is one of the finest pieces we have had the pleasure to offer.
