Early 19th Century English Bow Front Chest of Drawers

About the Item

Early 19th century mahogany bow front chest of drawers from England. The top is made from a single plank, which features wonderful graining and scalloped edging, which also feature routed decoration. The case is simple on the sides, and are also made from single boards. The front of the case is show stopping. On the front, flame mahogany banding is prominent around the drawer openings, showcasing the drawer fronts. There are three drawers over three larger drawers, all with lovely flame graining and banded in satinwood and beaded edges. The hardware is old and are fabulous hand cast brass lion's head pulls with rings in the mouths. It is a beauty!
