About

Early 19th century mahogany bow front attributed to S & H Jewell from London. S & H Jewell were fine quality cabinet makers who were established in 1830. They were a family business who worked from their premises at 29-31 Little Queen Street, Holborn, in London. This chest is spectacular. The drawer fronts are double banded in matching boxwood and satinwood inlay, flanked by corner columns that have been hand turned in a lovely twist pattern. the chest is supported on hand turned feet as well. This piece will be a wonderful addition to any collection.
