Early Burl Walnut Veneered Chest of Drawers, George I Period

About the Item

A splendid early burr walnut veneered chest with original brasses and period ogee feet. The veneer has good patina and shine and some age appropriate wear, notably on the top, shown in thumbnails. Classic 2 over 3 construction with nice mouldings and cockbeading around the drawers. There are small cracks on either side of the piece, shown, which have been filled with wax in the traditional manner.
