About the Item
An Italian late Rococo style chest of drawers with serpentine form and book-match veneers, circa 1780. This 18th century chest from Italy features a shapely serpentine top and body, adorn in book-match veneers and inlay throughout, and presently on carved cabriole legs. The case houses three graduated drawers, each fitted with elaborate rococo hardware and an escutcheon at center. Please note that the middle drawer pulls have a slight depression, but is not recognizable unless studying this piece from a side angle. This late Rococo Italian serpentine chest with gorgeous bookmatched veneer will be a striking addition to your home, suitable for an entry foyer or living space, or an opulent option for the bedroom.
