English 19th Century Campaign Chest

About the Item

A substantial English, circa 1850, military campaign chest of drawers with near-complete original hardware on mahogany construction. Split between two stacking trunks, a total of five drawers offer abundant storage for clothes or linens anywhere around the home. Recessed brass handles and trunk corners are original and have a dark patina matching the rugged, patinated appearance of the drawer fronts and case. The upper body features two deep drawers over one wide; and two wide drawers in the lower body raised on turned, bun feet. Brass lifting handles mounted on the sides are replacements that have been hand-crafted to match the originals as best as possible. Cleaned and polished with a French paste wax, this classic campaign chest is ready for your interior. Please view the detailed images to see more.
