Exquisite Antique English Inlaid Flame Mahog. Hepp. Style Bowfront Chest of Dwrs

About the Item

A magnificent and useful Large Antique English Geo. IV period Hepplewhite style satinwood and rosewood inlaid bookmatched flame or crotch mahogany Bowfront two short over three long drawers with handsome oval brasses (likely later replacements but perfectly of the period style). This chest is in superb, age-appropriate condition (see images) and is very useful due to its size. It would be gorgeous in a bedroom as well as a living room or family room; in a foyer under a mirror or endless places and possibilities. The secondary wood is either deal or pine. Please note the extraordinary bookmatched crotch or flame mahogany used on the drawer fronts along with rosewood and satinwood crossbanding. The depth noted in the dimensions is at the widest part of the bow (20.5") and reduces to 18" at the either side.
