A Fabulous Pair of Early 20th Century Marquetry Inlaid Bedside Tables or Chests
About the Item
A fabulous pair of early 20th Century richly patinated fruitwood bedside tables or chest of drawers of exceptional quality. This stunning pair are finely hand carved, crossbanded with delicate line inlay and highly inlaid marquetry panel detail throughout. The finely figured, moulded serpentine top of rectangular form is quarter veneered and adorned to the central reserve with an exquisite marquetry inlaid panel depicting a bouquet of flowers. Raised over three long crossbanded drawers fitted with gorgeous ormolu pulls and with beautifully decorative inlaid panels of trailing foliate and flowerhead motif detail above serpentine apron, terminating on elegantly tapering cabriole leg with finely cast ormolu sabot foot.
