Royal House Antiques Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this absolutely exquisite original circa 1880-1900 Military Campaign Satinwood & Oak chest of drawers with lots of campaign earned patina! Please note the delivery fee listed is just a guide, it covers within the M25 only for the UK and local Europe only for international, if you would like an accurate quote please send me your postcode and I’ll provide you with the exact price. A very unique and well made piece, there are lots of campaign drawers listed for sale but very few in Satinwood and none with this level of high end repairs from Campaign use, as you can see in various places to the top and sides, there has been new timber spliced in, this is due to damage that occurred during a Campaign, be it stacking and transport issues or even, as I have seen in the past, damage from gun fire and shrapnel, most collectors love this kind of patina as it really shows the authenticity of the piece and its life's travels In terms of the condition, we have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom. There will be normal age and use related patina marks here and there as you would expect with a use Campaign piece as mentioned, all of which add to the charm and sophistication Dimensions Height:- 95cm Width:- 91.5cm Depth:- 48cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask. Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
