Fine Georgian mahogany serpentine chest of drawers

About the Item

A fine example of a George III period mahogany serpentne fronted chest of four long graduated drawers with tulipwood banding to the drawers and upper apron. Of excellent long, low proporions and fitted with a brushing slide, original oval-backplate handles and ogee bracket feet. Good colour and patination and in original condition. A pleasing and imposing example of bold 'commode'proportions that could be used in a reception room as well as a bedroom.
