Fine Vintage Mahogany Chest-OnChest
About the Item
A large 1940’s Mahogany Chest with three small top drawers over six large drawers. The Chest has canted and fluted corners on the upper section with Greek Key banding at the top over a raised design beneath, ornate French style drawer pulls and key escutcheons, (The upper large drawer on both sections has a lock and a working key, the remaining drawers with false escutcheons), hardwood interior drawers and enough drawer space for a wardrobe. Very well made and solid feeling.
The Chest-On-Chest measures 68.25” high by 38” wide by 21” deep.
Condition: The overall condition is good with only minor acceptable age-related wear including some scratches and slight finish losses, one escutcheon is missing and otherwise the chest presents in an authentic and fine manner.
